Boca Raton, FL, January 17, 2017 – Epoca International has been acknowledged as an award-winning manufacturer of innovative housewares products. Epoca has recently won a 2016 GOOD DESIGN award for their Ecolution Micro-Pop microwave popcorn popper. The Micro-Pop offers a unique solution for making healthier popcorn in the microwave without the need for added oils or butter.
The Micro-Pop is made of temperature-safe borosilicate glass with a heat-resistant protective cage that secures the glass body from breakage and allows the user to safely handle popcorn directly from a microwave. The dual-function silicone lid serves as a measuring cup for popcorn kernels and can evenly melt and distribute butter if the user desires.
“It is a great privilege to be recognized with a GOOD DESIGN Award,” stated Brian Melzer, President of Epoca International. “The Ecolution Micro-Pop was an important innovation for us, as we continuously look to offer products to complement a healthy lifestyle. We are thrilled that our unique design has been recognized and added to the accolades the product has received from customers across the country.”
According to their website, the GOOD DESIGN Awards, now in its 66th year, “is the oldest and the most prestigious Awards Program organized worldwide. Founded in Chicago in 1950 by the former MoMA curator Edgar Kaufmann, Jr., GOOD DESIGN honors the yearly achievements of the best industrial and graphic designers and world manufacturers for their pursuit of extraordinary design excellence.”
Epoca International won a GOOD DESIGN award in 2013 for the Primula Flavor It Infusion Pitcher, making this their second recent GOOD DESIGN award win.
